I am looking for a replaced gas shut off valve for a Dometic refrigerator, circa 1960's. The specific model number of the refrigerator is RM36A.
I am attaching a photo of the valve that needs to be replaced.

I am - this valve is in working condition, except that it leaks when pressure tested. So the gas company will not certify me. Do you know if your shut-off valve leaked? What are you looking to get for it? Thanks so much.
I found new valves like that for my 1971 at my local Ace Hardware. Grainger also has them but they are 2x more than my Ace.
CaCraig, thank you for your response. I checked Grainger but could not find a valve. If you could direct me to the product on Grainger, I would appreciate it - it might help me with the local Ace hardware as well as they said they did not have anything like that. Thanks again. Hollie

The people on this forum are so great!
How is it attached to the switch? They must be two parts put together.. Now I see what I bought was just the valves. What I bought might not help without modification. I found both reciepts. The Ace number is 41268 and the Grainger number is 1VPZ5.

PA Bambi, that would be excellent. Thank you. I will PM you mailing address, and you can send me yours with the shipping amount so that I can get a check off to you. Thanks again for your help.
I believe I have what you need. My old1964 fridge died, and I have kept it around just in case someone needed parts. Are you still looking?
