2012 Flying Cloud 25 FB with solar and lithium batteries.

Second owner of 2012 Flying Cloud. I purchased it from a retired couple, in 2018, who had traveled to the Oregon coast and Arizona. This was my first trailer and I have used it every year with great success. We are a family of 6, but as the kids have gotten bigger, no one wants to sleep on the floor anymore the trailer sleeps 5, if you count the 5th person as a child . I am looking to buy an Airstream that sleeps 2 adults and 4 teens. This well maintained Airstream has been used every year for multiple trips and works great. It has spent 10 days dry camping in Idaho, traveled to the Oregon coast with heavy rains, spent significant time in the hot desert of Utah, New Mexico and traveled through Canada. We bike frequently, so we have a hitch on the back of the Airstream that can carry a 4 bike Kuat rack, with 2 bikes on the front of the tow vehicle. If you have the 4 bike on the Airstream, do not go over a speed bump, you do run the risk of the handle bars breaking your rear window from any play in the rack

The trailer is a blast and I have even convinced my husband that the Airstream is the only way to go.

I replaced the lead acid batteries with two additional solar panels the trailer came with one and two lithium batteries. Easy 10 days of dry camping with solar power, possibly more with great sunshine. The lithium batteries are easy to maintain during the winter and charged by the solar panels. Last winter I never needed to plug in the trailer to charge the batteries. Lithium batteries last 10 years.

The TV connection to the Blu Ray was sporadic with the factor cables. The easiest fix turned out to be a wireless connector so that we can watch movies anytime. I have not used the TV antenna for about 2 years, but it worked well at that time. There is only one TV.

Everything is fully functional, except for the black tank monitor. This season it read full at all times. It is easy to look in the black tank to see the level, if you think you might be getting full. With a 39 gallon tank, it takes a long time to fill up.

The roof seals were checked when the new Fantastic fans were installed and are in good shape. Tires were checked this summer and have another 2 years of life.
