Second Owner great all around Bambi 19. Our family has enjoyed this camper since 2017 traveling throughout the southwestern USA with stops in all the best destinations this part of the country has to offer. Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia, Big Sur, Redwoods, Tahoe, Mammoth, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Central California Coast, San Diego Coast, Death Valley, Joshua Tree and more.
This was the perfect base camp for our family of 4 and often accommodated another four or more guests sleeping in tents. We even would boondock no hookups at all, full wilderness for long 3 day weekends without any hookups at BLM locations like Alabama Hills.
Tows like a dream given the light weight, aerodynamic design, and included anti sway bar hitch and brake controller.
I was able to transport four bikes using the rooftop of our tow vehicle and one inside the camper using a stand setup that I will include. The inside was a great place for our e bike.
It comes with an anti sway bar hitch, and an electric yard dolly that was originally purchased for over 1,100. A recently changed Moen water filter, as well as an additional replacement. The jack switch was recently changed as well, in addition to one of the fan motors inside.
The batteries are from 2018, but continue to get us through a weekend with the included portable solar setup.
The brake pads were replaced two seasons ago along with the bearings being re packed. Both remain in good working order. I also had all of the appliances serviced at that time as well, and are in working order.
The exterior has a few scratches and dings that are customary for an airstream of this age that actually gets used approximately six times per year.
We really love our Bambi, and have had some amazing family memories, especially through covid. But, it is time to move on with our boys now in high school and no longer having the free time to get away often enough.
I have the free and clear California Title in hand, and I was also able to register it with a P.T.I. registration which means that you only have to pay 10 in registration fees every 5 years in California.
