2004 Airstream 30 Classic.. Refurbished interior and exterior by Airstream Service Center. Total cost of refurbishment 40K!

Wow, why would anyone think a 20 year old Airstream was worth 49K. Please read on. It is a very unique Airstream.

This Airstream has been refurbished, inside and out, by the Airstream Service center total cost 40K .

Here is its recent history.

2017

Original owner had the Airstream Service Center completely remove the entire interior and refurbish the inside. This included:

1 New woven vinyl flooring

2 New Mouse Fur

3 Couch was removed to open up the floor space.

4 Building of an Oak enclosure/shelf for the electronics

5 All LED lights inside and outside were installed.

6 Etc.

I have the receipts. The work totaled 22K

Shortly after buying the Airstream, the original ownerhad a garage built for it.

I have most of receipts for the other maintenance work the original owner got done by the service center.

In the summer of 2019, we purchased the Airstream from the original owner. Chatting with the original owner, it did not appear the Airstream was used after the interior was refurbished.

Since then, the airstream has been maintained/servicedand we have spent a few nights in it.

With an Airstream looking and smelling new on the inside, we decided to have the Service Center do a total refurbishment of the outside. In 2021, we took it to the Airstream Service Center for an extensive rework/replace of the exterior components. This included:

1 New Axles with Never Lube bearings

2 New Disc Brakes were installed

a. Thisincluded everything from brake controller to brake pads.

b. Onlything not replaced was the lines

3 New Michelin Tires with steel valve stems

4 New shock absorbers

5 Frame riser kit installed

6 Outside was completely resealed

7 New skylights installed

8 New AC shroud and seal

9 Filigree was repaired

10 Folding step was rebuilt

11 New higher resolution backup camera wasinstalled.

12 Etc.

Shortly before we brought it, the combo oven/microwave was replaced.

Additionally, I have done the following upgrades:

1 Lithium battery upgrade

a. Controllers,batteries, DC to DC converter, solar controller, AC to DC converter, etc.

2 Power/Remote control stabilizers

3 Remotely controlled skirt lighting

4 Had Hensley Hitch rebuilt

I have left out much of what the Service Center has done replacing tank valve, new weather stripping on screen door, etc. I will provide the new owner with thereceipts.

The unit looks and smells almost new. There are a few scratches on the outside and the area where airstream fixed the filigree is noticeable. While the Hensley hitch was rebuild, the paint is pretty weathered. If we continued to own the Airstream, I was going to replace it with a ProPride.

It has the full awning package and they are in excellent shape.

I have most receipts for the annual work the previous owner got done at the service center.

Why we like the unit

1 It is the older version of the Classic

2 This means it is lighter than the current Classic 30.

3 It has a low Tongue weight

a. The removal of the couch and replacing the Lead Acid Batteries significantly reduced the Tongue weight

b. This allowed us to tow it with our Ram1500 and stay within all weight limits

Comes with virtually everything you need for use:

1 Complete set of tools

2 Outdoor Mats

3 Lots of Spare parts

4 Hensley hitch

5 Dishes, cookware, etc.

6 Set of head set radios

7 Etc.

We are regretfully parting with it as our life has taken a turn that does not allow for its use. We had reservations for several great Caravans. Unfortunately we had to cancel each.
