Summary: An excellent vintage airstream with charm and off grid/sustainable updates. 90 percent of the hard work has been done: resealed seams, fixed sub floor softspots, rebuilt window frames and seals. Selling at a relatively reduced price for not completing a few finishing projects listed below. Need to sell this winter in order to pay for some other life projects.

Rare vintage airstream caravanner. The caravanner is a unique airstream that has more windows per square foot than any other model!

A few highlights:

The airstream has lived its entire life in dry climates Idaho and Colorado with a brief stint in Seattle when I lived there for 6 months.

It has been converted to off grid living with a composting toilet and solar panel that can charge basic needs lights, pumps, computer charging, etc .

The interior has been updated with paint and cork flooring. The bed and furniture have been removed and the layout is ready for a custom furniture build out I have some ideas for this! or to use freestanding furniture.

For 2 years, I was hired by airstream to travel and take photos of this particular airstream its been featured on their website and has been used in many advertisements :

Recently rebuilt windows, fixed any soft spots in the subfloor, replaced insulation, and updated the converter. It is 90 ready to hit the road, just needs some last personalized updates and a few finishing projects like installing a ceiling vent, etc. I just don't have time to finish the last projects and have reduced the price to reflect this.

It was appraised in 2020 for 47,500 by Polk Associates. I have all of the paperwork and title.

Working Appliances:

  • The furnace is very effective!
  • Electrical/Propane Fridge
  • Electrical/Propane Oven/Range
  • Water Heater
  • Water Pump
  • Oven Fan

Major repairs/updates:

In 2020, I did a major remodel which included:

  • replaced the front half of the subfloor the portion that was damaged
  • updated the electrical
  • Updated inverter installed by professional
  • replaced insulation in the walls and floor
  • repaired all sheet seems and fixed leaking rivets
  • Removed unnecessary caulking and gunk from many of the seems
  • repainted interior
  • installed new lighting interior and exterior lights
  • Rebuilt windows with new gaskets and repaired all leaks
  • Installed new cork flooring throughout
  • New plex plumbing
  • New shower faucet

2018 Repairs/Updates

  • New tires should be good for another few years at least
  • Took out the traditional toilet and replaced with Nature s head composting toilet
  • Updated trailer wiring

Projects that still need to be done:

Can hire someone locally, to do custom buildout and finish loose end updates if interested.

  • Have professionally polished to remove black tarp marks and hopefully the top white paint cost: 5000, I have some contacts for this and deducted this amount from the cost
  • Install new AC unit current one doesn t blow cold, had inspected and was told it just needs to be replaced, cost: 500 800
  • Build out interior furniture
  • I have the dinette that you can either re install as is, or I d recommend having another one built and use this as a template.
  • Repair strap for large awning it is difficult to pull out without the strap. Strap broke off a few years ago
  • Install new ceiling vent/fan i have the fan ready to install
  • Install new blinds i have the blinds which were custom ordered to fit the windows
  • Floor trim

Comes with:

  • Solar panel
  • Spare tire
  • Lots of custom parts and tools, riveting tools, polishing tools, etc
  • Fan to be installed ordered from Vintage Trailer Supply in 2020
  • Dinette as shown in photo

  • 2 Large propane tanks
  • Rock Guards
  • Equalizer Hitch and sway bars

Will deliver for a fee.
