For sale 1976 Airstream Argosy 24
We are selling our beloved 24ft. Airstream Argosy. The trailer is in very good to excellent condition, and has seen many updates over the years. We have owned this trailer for 29 years. All systems are operational. This is not a project trailer, like many that are on the market. You can buy this trailer and go camping. It tows very easily and weighed in at4100lbs on the CAT scale with full propane tanks, all our gear and a half a tank of fresh water. The trailer has both a black water and grey water tank. Beware, Airstream and Argosy trailers prior to 1974 do not have separate grey tanks. You want a grey tank. The trailer has had ongoing restoration/refurbishment by me for years, but we always made sure it was usable during the summer months to travel in. The only work that I farmed out was the custom paint job that was done by a professional body shop. The trailer judged to an honorable mention at the International Concours d Elegance in Fryburg Maine2022.
Asking price is 21,500 or Best Offer. No reasonable offer refused. Must sell due to buying another unit, and now have too many Rv s. Appraised/Insured value is 43,400.
Below, in no particular order, is a partial list of things replaced/repaired over the years.
Custom paint .PPG Delfleet. High solids polyurethane coating in basecoat clear coat. Paint appears grey/silver in the shade and flops to a gold tone in sunlight. Pretty sharp. Banana wrap is PPG DelFleet single stage two part polyurethane.
Prior to paint the belly pan was dropped and the frame coated with Por 15
Axles have been replaced with 3500lb Dexter 10 Never Lube Axles.
16inch Aluminum wheels with BF Goodrich Commercial T/A s
The front floor under the windows has been replaced, as well as the section by thefront door.
All the windows have been resealed.
All window gaskets have been replaced.
Newgroup 24 battery installed 3/24
Roof has been recoated winter 2023/24
Dark smoke rock guards were installed to protect the wrap around windows.
The air conditioner is a Dometic Brisk Air with heat strip. Not Heat pump .
The water heater was replaced last year with a modern Suburban Advantage direct spark propane/ electric. Bypass valves were added for winterization.
The water pump has been replaced with a shurflo.
The front couch has been replaced by a dinette. Seat cushions were done by a professional upholstery company using automotive grade vinyl.
Countertops have been replaced along with stainless steel sink and faucet fixture.
Stove/oven has been replaced.
All tambour doors have been replaced except in radio compartment.
Rear couch has been replaced by a real mattress on a lift platform to better access storage below.
NewThetford toilet installed.

The fridge works on LP and 110Volt. Oddly enough, the fridge is a 3 way, ie; lp,110v.12v, but the factory never ran 12 volts to it. hence my answer of 110volts and LP
