Selling our Airstream.

We purchased it two years ago in Colorado, drove across the country to the California coast and have lived in it full time ever since. currently titled in Colorado

Was gutted to frame, re wired and remodeled before we bought it by an engineer in Colorado Springs, except the bathroom which I built out. We have performed extensive renovating/re designing the interior including :

  • Installation of Cubic Mini wood stove our favorite feature
  • Tiling of bathroom floor and shower
  • Fabrication and installation of bed platform / under bed storage
  • Interior Painting
  • Vinyl plank flooring
  • Installation of Bosch 5 gal electrical water heater
  • Installation of new power jack on hitch
  • Installed new lighting
  • Custom vanity and sink in bathroom
  • Installed a nature s head composting toilet
  • Replaced original fridge with new electrical only fridge
  • New faucets
  • Rebuilt back bench area
  • Custom velvet cushions and mattress

some more details:

  • I left the toilet mounting flange intact, so a real toilet could be reinstalled for use with the black tank or permanent hookups
  • Fresh water tank and pump system are operational, we used them on the trip to Cali but have been hooked up to water during our time here.
  • Original gas oven/stove is in excellent condition
  • 12v lighting throughout works excellent
  • Air conditioner and exhaust fans work great
  • Lovely stereo system was installed previously. Nice upgrade
  • Original awning! Excellent shape. No tears.
  • Original propane heater works excellent

issues/quirks

  • Front door lock needs to be serviced. Our door hasn t locked since we ve owned it, I have never got around to that project.
  • Some sort of intermittent electrical issue is going on with the blinkers/brakes. I have not been hooked up to a truck recently to begin tracing and diagnosing the issue.
  • Awning rafter hooks need replaced. Still functional but hardware needs swapped out. Minor details her
  • There are a few pieces of trim still needing to be installed that I do not have time to do.

this is a fully livable, towable, sound airstream ready for its next adventurers to come onboard or ready to be parked and set up as an instant rental. We bought it for school and it has served us well, now that our family is growing it is time to sell. We have loved our time in it and have enjoyed it very much. Thanks for looking!
