Please carefully read this post. This is not a project for beginners.
'72 Airstream International Sovereign. 31 long. I bought this AS during the pandemic and have done some work on it but there is a LOT left to do. I moved and no longer have a place to work on it so it has to go.
Here's what I've done so far:
gt;Rear end separation repair new plywood and C channel but I never finished putting it back together
gt;Upgraded the Univolt system so all of the 12V electrical issues have been addressed and it now has blade fuses instead of glass fuses. The 110V was fine.
gt;Upgraded the exterior lights to led
gt;Cleaned up all of the windows including the Vista windows
gt;Replaced the interior light covers
gt;Had the counter top sprayed with something that looks like formica. It's okay but I didn't love it.
gt;Removed the 52 year old carpet
gt;Dropped the water tank and cleaned it
gt;New water pump and monitoring panel it's all wired up and works, but I never finished mounting everything.
gt;had the LPG tanks recertified
gt;Exterior shell I removed the clearcoat and tried different polishing methods/products which is why it looks patchy everywhere and why only one tank is partially polished.
gt;Coated the roof
Here's what I know it will need:
gt;Belly pan and insulation
gt;A/C
gt;Water heater
gt;Toilet
gt;Black tank
gt;Oven if you want one
gt;Refrigerator
gt;Kitchen faucet
gt;Bathroom is gutted so it will either have to be put back together all parts are there or replaced with new everything
gt;Rear interior shell needs to be riveted back on
gt;Rear hatch needs to be re riveted
gt;Haven't touched the axles yet
gt;Electric brake lines need to be replaced
gt;Need new LPG lines
gt;Interior pieces tambour panels need to be replaced or the entire interior gutted and re built
gt;Needs to be polished
gt;Exterior needs to be sealed everywhere with Sikaflex
gt;Probably some things I haven't thought of
The frame and floor are good and all 3 awnings are good. The interior is a mess, but it's mostly there. I did remove the bathroom to do the rear end separation repair and haven't put it back together so that will have to be done. A lot of the tambour is broken but they still sell it or you can find it pretty easily on Airstream forums. This thing definitely needs a lot of work, but some of it has already been done. I'll also throw in the buck riveting tool, buck rivets, a set of Clecos, and all of the polishing stuff from Highway Shine. It's located in York, SC and has a clean SC title. Asking 6500 cash.
