1970 Airstream Safari 23 ft Camping Trailer
As you can see by the pics, and at a weight of 3465Lbs., it is easily towed with a mid size pickup.
Sleeps four comfortably on new memory foam mattresses:
Full size in the rear could be made into a queen and two twin beds in front.
Original refurbished oven/stove, upgraded sink and faucet, new butch block countertop.
All new tambor doors on upper cabinets
Updated, automatic propane/12VDC and 110VAC Dometic refrigerator
Updated Atwood air conditioner/heater with remote; can be run on 15A Circuit.
Updated water pump and bathroom faucet
Updated propane water heater
Plumbing lines updated to PEX
Updated 15 gallon grey tank

You have what appears to be "The 1970 Safari "Special", as stated on a "Special" emblem next to the door. The "Safari Special" layout (from what I know) was only available in the 1970 model year. Airstream took the rear of the Globetrotter model and placed it with the Overlander model providing a much larger living area in the front of the trailer due to the corner bed/bath combo in the rear. Very rare trailer to see in this condition. There have been a few minor changes made to your trailer vs. being 100% original mainly to the sink cabinet in the front and removal of the rear sink/cabinet to make room for the larger rear bed. Great to see the added grey tank. Great to see these very unique trailers still out there. Good Luck with your sale!
