1969 was the first year of the new Airstream body style, which the shape is basically still in production. It was major milestone year for Airstream. The 1969 Globetrotter is a very well built Airstream with a solid body and a real wood interior. The windows are much better than the 1968 model year in my view. We have owned this trailer since 2010 but haven't used it much. It is a California built trailer and we think the majority of its life has been in the dry southwest. The trailer is in good shape. The body is not perfect with dings and flaws here and there, patina they call it. This Airstream is 53 years old and ready for another 50 years of use. The trailer is 21 feet long ball to bumper and the Airstream specs says it is a trailer weight is 3400 lbs and the tongue weight is 400 lbs. It can be towed by a midsized SUV. We used the Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 which worked very well. This trailer comes with a Reese Dual Cam weight distribution with sway control hitch.

We have renovated this Globetrotter from the ground up. Let s review: new tires, better aluminum wheels, new high lift axle assembly with bearings, brakes, shocks with 3" more ground clearance, new belly pan, new under floor insulation, painted frame frame is in good shape ,new waste water tank 24 gal , new See Level tank monitor, newer 12v converter 2016 , new AGM group 27 battery, new PEX plumbing, new propane piping, new water heater, new interior paint, new floor covering, newer fridge 2016 , new galley sink and faucet, new 2 burner stove, new U shaped dinette that sleeps two nicely, new foam cushions, new half mid bath layout with new toilet and vanity sink and faucet, new rear twin bed 36 x 83 , newer high efficient catalytic heater, new MaxAir ceiling vent, newer very nice home made curtains, new LED ceiling lighting, new deadbolt lock, new window and door weather stripping, new screens, new outside hot and cold shower wand, new utility connections shore power, city water, sewer , created a bigger rear storage compartment, new front window rock guard, and we polished the Alclad aluminum exterior. We have invested many dollars in parts making this Globetrotter into a very functional, comfortable, reliable, ready to go good looking Airstream travel trailer. A new Airstream in an old body. This is the fourth vintage Airstream I have renovated. I will demonstrate all the trailer systems to a potential buyer from the ground up. No surprises.

Our Globetrotter doesn't have an awning or an air conditioner. Both of these features can be added. Living in the Colorado mountains we found these features aren't a high priority. Further, the fold out entry step is long gone. We use a plastic hot tub step instead. It is very stable.

The cell phone signal is very weak here. Please use this ad link to email me with your questions and interest. We can make a phone call appointment. I have to drive to town get a cell signal for a more detailed discussion about this vintage 1969 Globetrotter 21 . I would enjoy telling you all about it.

Thanks for your interest.

David

Hello David Yours looks nice. I have a '63 - 19ft Globetrotter that I've restored. I'm looking for friends of ours in California. I live in Denver however. I've sent them your link and offered to view it for them. Understand you are near Conifer? Please let me know your availability. Thanks! Michael

I apologize. I was monitoring the direct messages to my add and did not know to look at the bottom of my ad for inquires. Michael, I am retired and have an open schedule. You would be welcome to inspect my Globetrotter when convenient for you to do so. It is all ready to go on a long trip. Please try the "contact advertiser" button toward the top right of my ad and then we can make an appointment. David
