Meet our beautiful 1958 Airstream Overlander, which we have affectionately called The Mothership since we rescued her in 2016. At 64 years old, she needed some love. We spent years addressing every aspect of the trailer, taking the repairs down to the frame. She has a new subfloor, insulation, and all new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

We replaced many components that were neglected over the years. The Airstream now features 120V/12V electrical system with a 400W solar system and 200AH of lithium iron batteries. We ran new plumbing, including new PEX, a new freshwater tank, and a water heater. There are two showers, one in the rear bathroom surrounded by locally sourced juniper walls and an exterior shower tucked into a custom locking compartment.

Our Airstream has an all new interior build out, from the flooring to the custom cabinetry and a Formica counter. Light fixtures are from Schoolhouse Electric, and the solid brass finishes were found at a local architectural salvage. We tried to think of every comfort needed for daily life on the road tucking away hidden storage while allowing the Airstream to feel light and open.

The Airstream comes with a master manual that acts as a guide to its electrical and plumbing system as well as manuals to all the appliances on board, a 30 Smartplug cord for shore power and surge protector, Aquor quick connect hose adapter, and a boat/RV 12V Dyson Vacuum that is easily tucked away until needed.

We have loved our Airstream, and we like to think it shows. Though we are sad to sell her now, we hope she offers her next owners the freedom to embrace a life less ordinary, as she did us.
