This is our third Airstream. Our 34 was too large and our 28 was a little too small. Our 30 (or 31) we find to be just perfect. It is big enough for long stays and small enough to get into all of the parks. It is the twin bed version which gives us enough room to use the bedroom not only for sleeping but also for dressing. We added the Memory Foam mattress tops for additional comfort. We also chose not to have a slide out. The reason for this decision was that we would only gain 18 inches in the slide area, but we would lose all of the storage for kitchen items above the dinette. We also wanted to be sure our trips were trouble free.
There are some very important features of this Airstream Classic Limited that make it stand out over others the same size. One of the outstanding features of this Airstream is that it has two AC’s. This means that you will have the ability to plug into 50 Amp service and not worry about running the AC, the microwave and the hair dryer at the same time. Another feature is that it has two solar panels on top. No matter how long you leave the Airstream outside, the batteries will always be charged up. The other upgrades that make this Airstream unique are the Cocoa interior color scheme, the upgrade to two 40 pound LP bottles, increasing the salon AC to 15,000 BTU with a heat pump, a 600 watt inverter, upgrading the refrigerator to a large 10 cubic foot unit. One of the most important upgrades, that makes towing a breeze, is the $3000 Hensley Arrow Hitch.
