I just acquired an awning from a box trailer and I would like to mount it to a set of curved arms on my 1976 Argosy Moho. I believe it to be a Carter awning, however, I am open to trying to mount it to any manufacturers.
I can post some pictures of it to help you determine if the arms will fit.
If Zip Dee arms work, I have a set of NOS Zip Dee heads...the part that goes on the arms...That I would sell.
There are a set listed on Ebay, New Carter RV Awning Curved Hardware Arm Set
wow
Wow, curved arms are difficult to find I believe or at least they had been. If they work on yours and can afford the pair and if they work with your set up, I would jump on the ones listed. Good luck
Stumbled across this last week, Looks like this guy has plenty, airstream parts
Martin, Thanks for the link to ebay. Unfortunately those are bent at the bottom, not the top. Somewhere in the ad it does mention that are not for Airstream or Argosy. As far as the Zipdee idea goes, whats the diameter on the tube they use? I might pursue that since I have the tube and nice awning material.
Read his full description for the e-bay listing. in that listing he states that they will not fit an Airstream.
If you are in central California I know a guy that has the entire awning off an old Airstream. It's not a Zip-Dee it's got the flat uprights that curve at the top. Let me know if you want his phone number.
Unfortunately I am in NY so that wont work out. I took a closer look at my awning last night and it is a Carefree. I might try heating and bending the arms myself, I have a friend with the tools that will hopefully do the job. BEfore I do that I am going to wait a little longer in case something comes up.

This is the guy I bought my MH door window from....he is starting a business based on used parts and has a load of spares. Also shipping was very reasonable to MA.

Sorry Matt I didn't read the listing....it just popped up in a search for Airstream awnings (of course having 'not Airstream' in the description also gets found!)
Martin, THANK YOU!! I just emailed him.
Do you think it will attach to zip dee arms? You should be able to buy arms from them. Photos will help, especially ends of the awning where arms will attatch.
