I ordered the "standard size" skylights for a 27ft Front Bed model that seems to have worked for many people, but just didn't quite fit my year 2013 (both curbs on my unit are not square and require a slightly oversized skylight to fit). That said, I had to reorder for fitment on my trailer.
The measurements for these are as follows:
Skylight #1: 22.5" x 22.5"
Skylight #2: 17.5" x 26"
*Both are white powder coated with clear/bronze/clear
I did slightly file down the welds in the corner of the 22.5 x 22.5 but it still wouldn't fit.. This is shown along with measurements in the photos. I did not mess with the other skylight after i attempted to place on the curb.
** Buyer pays for shipping. They are both repacked in original packaging as they were received.
This fitment issue is why Maxim wants the customer to actually measure the opening before ordering.
I have a copy of the Airstream drawings for the skylight openings on our Classic. Evidently the drawings were not shared with production as neither opening met those drawing measurements. Or, quality control was not implemented in this department, which would not be a surprise.
Even with the opening measurements, one of the two Maxim skylights was so tight it needed a rubber hammer to go on because the Airstream frame was not square and the corners were not true vertically.
