4’x9′ 5/8″ Coosa Bluewater 26 boards

I’m replacing the rear-most subfloor panel in my 2007 Safari with 5/8″ Coosa board after discovering water damage from the infamous rear bumper leak. It’s typically available in 3/4″ 4×8′ panels which would have to be machined down at the edges and wouldn’t span the width of the Airstream, but a 5/8″ 4×9′ panel is the correct thickness and will allow you to span the entire width of the Airstream without a seam.

Because it is a special order, the minimum order is five sheets, so I would have four available for folks who want to make the same repair (or install as a waterproof subfloor while doing a shell-off floor replacement). Lead time is four weeks, so let me know if you are interested in a panel and I can make the order.

If you’re unfamiliar with Coosa board, several forum members have spoken highly of it as a subfloor replacement. It is waterproof, stiffer than plywood and lighter than plywood. More info:

  1. It is also worth noting that Coosa board does not hold screws as well as plywood. There are methods to address this, but be mindful of this limitation. Since I’m using it for the rear dinette area, that is not really a concern for me.
