Description

2013 Airstream 16′ Bambi Sport $35,500 or Best Offer. Airstream Bambi’s now start at $49,600 for a basic striped package with no options. This Bambi Sport for sale has all options (receipts) and most are extremely important for actual trailering use pushing price up to approximately $60k retail pricing with all provided options. Basic Bambi Sport packages are offered with only manual hitch jack, no protective rock guards, and no rear bumper with sewer hose compartment and other very important options. That is, basic models are supplied without the important protective options you need to trailer and operate off-grid (camping and boondocking). See the added options below.

Prior to the additional added upgrades, this trailer came with a single 12-volt battery, manual hitch jack, 4 stabilizer crank jacks, 55 Amp converter with 110V/12V AC/DC power control center, 30 Amp Power cord, Dump valve light / Water Pump switch, pre wired for solar, AM/FM/CD, 19” LED HD TV with DVD player, TV antenna, twin 20# LPG tanks, 11K BTU overhead AC / Heat strip heater, 12K BTU Furnace, 6 Gallon Hot Water Heater, LPG, Smoke, & CO Detectors, Indoor/Outdoor Wet bath shower, toilet, mirrored medicine cabinet, 23 Gallon Fresh Water Tank, 21 Gallon Sewer Tank, Panoramic front window, screens, Curbside awning, 3 Cu Propane/12 Volt/ Electric fridge, Bathroom & Galley Vent vans, Sliding privacy bedroom screen, Full close-out drapes & blinds, 2 burner cooktop with glass cover, Stainless steel sink, Laminate counters, Seamless vinyl flooring, Coat hooks, & Information board, Clothes closet, Numerous storage compartments, Aluminum wheels, and Radial tires.

Buyer’s Beware: Unfortunately, the basic Airstream packages come with no rear protective bumper and sewer compartment (this means your entire soft aluminum rear end is at risk every time you back up). The lack of the rear bumper sewer hose compartment means you are kneeling on the ground trying to fit your wet dirty sewer hose underneath the trailer into the crappy ABS supplied sewer tube. No protective rock guard means your trailer’s front fragile aluminum skin is at risk during trailering.

These items should be mandatory stock items at the price Airstream charges that we have added for you. No solar panel option (required to keep your dual battery bank charged for off-grid lighting and running fridge and furnace) means you must be tethered to an AC power supply. Isn’t trailering supposed to represent freedom and the option to get away untethered if you choose? Our important added options are what separate this Airstream from basic Airstream packages that you’ll likely are be going to have to upgrade at great expense to really operate and enjoy your trailer as you intended.

The Bambi 16′ Sport is the lightest model in the Airstream lineup and has a dry weight of 2,800 pounds, so it can be pulled with most vehicles and has 10” electric brakes on the Dexter torsion axle. This model Airstream has less wear and tear on your engine and transmission than with the larger heavier models. It is the cutest model with the smallest footprint, yet can sleep up to 4. It has roof AC, furnace, hot water tank, lots of storage fore and aft, a rear bedroom, clothes closet, TV, shower and toilet (wet bath), kitchen (sink, range, fridge, storage), and a front dinette with a panoramic window (folds into 2nd bed).

Important added upgraded options: Rear bumper with sewer hose compartment, stainless steel protective rock guards, 12 Volt Zamp solar panel and controller to keep the dual 12-volt batteries charged and trailer functioning if not connected to shore power (camping), 12-volt power jack tongue jack with light, back up camera and monitor, microwave, and a Fiamma Airstream bike rack. New Goodyear Endurance trailer tires were mounted in 2019, new duel cannister LPG cover, and more (totaling approximately $10k). All the upgraded options were added in 2019. The original trailer was sold in 2013 unused and placed in storage until 2018 after the probate estate settlement (the trailer was stored from 2013 through 2018). It is in great condition. The trailer has had very little use. We are interested in trading up to a Winnick or FB 19′ to 23’ larger Airstream model.

This was our starter model to confirm we enjoyed Airstream trailering. The low Airstream center of gravity with water and sewer built into chassis design offers great stability and handling while trailering. Trailer sites, ferry and parking fees are significantly low with this model, in addition to easier parking than with larger units. Many State park sites cannot accommodate larger models.

Click and paste this video link of this model (without options provide on our trailer, except for microwave upgrade option shown in the video) below to view this basic trailer model without upgrades this listing offers. Good hunting.
