Always wanted an Airstream. Saw this one sitting beside a dock building business on Grand Lake. Drove by it for years before I persued trying to buy it. Finally got ahold of the guy that had it and he sold it to me. Got 2 side windows out in bedroom area and big flat window in bathroom, guy I got it from was going to remodel and redo it but didn't get done, tore some stuff out but for patern everything still there, original ice box missing, but have ice box, 110 volt. One original all aluminum propane bottle, air on top, got all the pieces for shroud, propane stove, original, bathroom pretty well stripped but ready to custom build, body needs buffing, few pretty good dents but not really all that bad for a travel trailer that has actually been rolling or someone living in it for 38 years. Have not fully researched it but sticker on it says that it belonged to a Wally Bynam Club President. Needs a little work but really for actual living purposes these days a person has to modify for internet, plumbing, hot water water tk. waste holding, wood stove, solar heat, power plant and at the same time try to keep it light and user friendly. To do that a person has to tear out some stuff, mine is opened up a bit already so a person can refigure space to requirements of personal tastes plans and interests. I just love this airstream but it is just me and my little doggie Rufus, I'm 64 and ready to roll a bit, I would prefer to have a much smaller airstream, like a 19 or 21, the smaller the better. I am a horrible backer and I can use a much smaller vehicle to pull a small airstream with. Perhaps someone has a smaller airstream that we could switch out and make a deal with.
