As a South African elderly childless couple we used this one-owner liveable Airstream only on Xmas visits to the USA. Estimate total towed mileage at 60K. $3000 + AS options (See List) fitted on purchase plus credenza extended to accommodate 5 gal.waste bin and provide a large area for a TV. 74" foldable bolster Bunk bed fitted in bedroom. In '94 selling AS Dealer mounted a modified baggage pod for use by our S.African cat on the bathroom roof as a litter box, (We had come over to avoid the violent first Democratic elections in the RSA, and voted at La Jolla CA.)the partially screened lid section of which was open to provide sun. This caused some vibration when passing trucks and cracked the INNER Thermoform ceiling across in one place. Advised this can be repaired using Bondo sealant. Using one inverted MAXXII vent cover as access for 'Tiger', allowed of cross-ventilation at all times with the other cover over the open lounge vent. At the same time they mounted a spare carrier and lightweight pod for folding chairs/bugtent on the rear chassis longerons. Apart from these modifications the interior is AS original with even the full length brown nylon carpet showing very little wear. The Argosy has had no accidents and had new tyres 500 miles ago when just brought up from Riverside in CA for storage at a friend's property,in AZ. This was the second time tyres were replaced and only because of the possibility of damage from sun rot. The CA Title is clean. 14,000 btu Bay Breeze A/C by Armstrong has heat strip and blows cold. 10 cub. ft. dd Dometic Fridge uses LPG/12V. TEAC hi-fi radio/cassette fitted in loose shelved cabinet in lounge and most kitchen utensils/appliances extension cords/ramps wrenches etc.,remain. Also has folding Swiss type exerciser and Golf Clubs + portable Honda Gen. EX 650W 120V w/12V 100 amp.leads.

40lb. aluminium LPG tanks will need OPD valves fitted when empty.Forced air Furnace went u/s and was removed but thermostat and wiring still in place. Rear, and curb side bedroom windows are Acrylic and the radio aerial; is missing. The extending aluminium steps need some attention. All systems were in good condition prior to storage in '94 and in fact had never given any trouble but for the replacement of a more sophisticated LPG tank valve and of course, the Furnace. (Meant to go with mobile disconnectable Catalytic Heater for less electricity usage in National Parks.)
