Time to let my Airstream go! Looking to sell this FAST so make me an offer. NOTE: this is not one of the many scam postings on CraigsList so to those dedicated Airstreamers who flag suspicious postings, please DO NOT flag this and contact me if you would like me to authenticate with WBCCI info etc.
This is a mid-bath model which I think is one of the best layouts for an airstream. The shower was replaced a few years back and I started to redo the interior but didn’t get very far. Only far enough to be functional. But in these 70’s units, the interiors were pretty flimsy and what is left of the original interior has run out of life.
Here are some of the upgrades I have put into the unit:
— stainless steel “corner protectors” on the front
— front window rock guard
— solar panels that can tilt 4 ways for more sun
— coleman mach 8 heat pump 15k btu
— italian stainless steel vitrifrigo fridge/freezer (electric danfoss compressor)
— macerator pump so you can send your waste a hundred feet through a garden hose
— electric waste valves
— electric macerator hose reel
— relatively new stove (no oven)
— new water pump
— upgraded china toilet
— AUTOMATIC SATELLITE DISH (has a problem at the moment)
— instant hot water heater
The previous owner replaced the subfloor with new plywood and built a seating area in the front.
The trailer has some other features I’m sure that I am forgetting like aluminum propane bottles.
The exterior has been stripped of the peeling clear coat and a “quick” polish has been done to the exterior. I shined her up enough to look respectable on a great lakes vacation last summer. You could spend a lot more time on it if you wanted to but I think I got pretty good bang for the time invested. The back street side corner has some damage on the lower panel and the rear bumper has been repaired from some sort of incident by a previous owner. I can’t provide much info on that.
The windows on this trailer generally have some bubbling on many of them. They are functional but aesthetically that is one thing I never got around to fixing up. For the time being, I’ve applied some window film for privacy to a bunch of the windows.
There is no bed in the unit at the moment. I had installed a queen bed from ikea in the rear but not in a permanant way so that has been removed and the rear bed area is open ready to be finished as you please. The trailer originally had twins in the back.
Long story short, this is a trailer for someone who wants to put some additional work into it to customize for their purposes. The exterior is in OK shape but the interior will need to be fixed up.
