Vintage 1974 Airstream Ambassador. The frame is solid. Subfloor was replaced with treated ¾ inch plywood. All windows are in working order and vista views are single pane glass (no fuzzy middle layer).
It was a rescue. Furniture was replaced with birch divider walls and custom front lounge area with storage beneath. Original upper storage remains intact. Original controls remain in cabinet above kitchen counter. Kitchen sink and stovetop were removed to create a solid counter, but are included. The refrigerator did not work and was removed. Original layout included 2 bunk beds on either side of middle section. One bunk remains installed with the other bunk available. Rear bath was removed and replaced with a custom queen size bed with storage beneath. Grey and black water tanks were removed (no plumbing) but are included. A closet area was created for privacy and more storage. A/C units works great!
Exterior is in fine shape. All lights work. Only exterior damage was a scrape mark along front left panel. Damage did not penetrate the skin. New brakes and backing plates have been replaced. The Zip-Dee awning is in great shape!! Equil-i-zer 4-point sway control hitch is included with the deal.
This is a great project for someone that wants to take it to the next level or is great to be used by a family not wanting to worry about plumbing.
