This vintage Caravel has 1970s charm with 21st Century technology and amenities. Fully renovated in 2015 by a master RV technician who specializes in vintage Airstreams. Exterior aluminum shell is overall very attractive and strong with minor dents and scratches. Interior restoration includes newly manufactured Airstream-correct drapes, and modern, top-quality cushion and fabric to replace worn-out cushions. Original cabinets are in very good condition with an incredible amount of storage in under and overhead bins and two closets. Storage space is maximized through smart addition of new shelving components. Restored interior systems include power converter, new furnace and water heater, Dometic gas/electric fridge, new 3 burner gas stove/oven, new high quality Thetford marine toilet, digital HD antenna, TV jack, TV-mount, and 19-inch TV. Plumbing upgrades include a new black-water tank and a new grey-water tank that was retro-fitted (not an option in 1971), making this a fully self-contained unit. All tanks properly plumbed to drain outlet. Includes many safety upgrades not considered in 1971 to include moving battery from inside to outside, venting gas refrigerator to outside, and new wheels, tires and electric brakes. Oversized RV battery is 2015. Two new matching propane tanks on the front hitch, a new rock guard on front window, and new power jack. Brand new custom Dometic awning in vintage blue fabric--not an option for Caravels in 1971.
