The Original: This trailer is cuuuute and was my full time residence for 2 years. Original layout, wood cabinetry, lighting fixtures, fans, 4-burner stove, full oven and tub intact. Many of the original latches and storage bins as well, though I did repair their corners with JB Weld and paint them as they had yellowed considerably. The original propane tanks and 2 of the hubcaps are included, the others were lost by my tower (GAH!) The 8 track player is uninstalled but available.
I do have the original manual, though a couple pages are stuck together! (These things are expensive!)
The Updated: New pex lines to replace the busted copper pipes. There is a “work around” water line from the sink to the tub so I could shower. I installed hickory look luxury vinyl planking on the floors to match the tone of the original wood. New toilet, some new screens, new Sunbrella indoor/outdoor zippered upholstery, new foam cushions. New black and white striped awning. New fan/ ac unit. New AWESOME propane system. New o2 sensor. Fridge is newer, it came with it when I purchased in 2015. It wasn’t made for the space, but they did a tiny cutout to make it work.
I do have a few extra pieces of plank in case of needed repairs.
What’s needed: the biggest issue with this trailer is the subfloor in the back compartment. It’s saggy back there, but it has been since I bought it. Another issue is that this model (and I have no idea why) doesn’t have a seperate greywater/blackwater. The whole time I had it, I just used greywater and had a porta-potty on the property. I’m not sure what it would take to change it. The last biggie is that the furnace was recalled but no one took it in during the recall period so there is an unusable furnace. I lived with just a space heater until it was 37F or so, then ran the propane on level 1 and was fairly comfortable. I have noted a leak near one of the front windows during 2 harder rainstorms. Some other smaller things: the roll-up tambour storage bins up top have a couple that need replacing. The fiberglass wheel wells are crumbling, I have foamed them up. The cover on the hot water heater is ill-fitting and needs to be replaced.
I’m no longer in the area but will be down monthly to show the trailer, starting this Sunday, May19th from 3pm to 7pm and Monday Morning the 20th by appointment. If you can’t come by on Sunday or Monday, let me know and I’ll try to arrange a showing with a friend in the area.
The terms: Asking 20,000 OBO. While of course, I’d love the total up front, I would consider $11,000 down and the remainder over 2 years with good to excellent credit.
Would consider trading for a similarly valued ’16 trailer.
