This exceptional Airstream is a 1961 (first year of production!) 16' Bambi, made in Jackson Center OH. Compact, lightweight (1875 lbs), and well equipped, of strong, aerodynamically designed, riveted aluminum construction, this Bambi will add a degree of charm and Instagram-pop to your travels. In good-excellent condition when I found her (garaged for many years, one owner?), good bones, needs relatively little work. I have had exterior polished (near mirror finish), removed old linoleum, laid new plywood over subfloor (which was in fair condition--some dry rot near door), new interlocking rubber tiles, and commissioned new upholstery and curtains, painted, all original interior otherwise. Wood work is in good condition, and I am told gas stove, refrigerator and wiring are operational. Plumbing needs work, propane tanks need new regulator. Towing assembly operational, frame, chassis intact per recent inspection. Low gauge (thicker than newer models) aluminum skin is mostly unblemished. Back bumper rusted out. First class jack, new tires, new spare tire/rim; dining table, and owner manuals present. Old window AC and frame will need to be replaced. Door is off kilter and skin separating?
